CONFERENCES AND FESTIVALS ATTENDED

Dr. Sashanka Sekhar Dutta has attended various festivals and conferences related to animal welfare and veterinary medicine. In February 2023, he executed the 12th FSAPAI CE & 19th WSAVA India CE in Guwahati, which brought together veterinary professionals from across the country, fostering knowledge exchange and advancements in the field.

In addition, Dr. Dutta attended the 10th Annual National Conference of Consortium against Rabies, CARCOON 2022, at COHERD, where he participated in a panel discussion and presented a poster presentation on the topic: “Rabies Elimination Drive by JBF in North-East India through Population Management & Mass Anti-Rabies Management in Dogs” at the Indian Institute of Public Health, Gujarat.

Dr. Dutta also attended the WSAVA Regional Meeting in Bangkok from 20th to 22nd June 2022 as an FSAPAI representative. He also attended the meeting on drug availability in India and the CE on pain management.

Dr. Dutta was the Convener of the North East India Festival held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 29th July to 1st August 2022. He was also a speaker on the topic “Entrepreneurship Opportunities as a Veterinary Graduate” in the Two-Day Entrepreneurship Programme on “Start-up Opportunities for Profitable Livestock Farm under NEHEP” held on 17th-18th June 2022.

Dr. Dutta presented a poster presentation on Illegal Dog Meat Trade at the Animal Care Expo held from April 19 – 22, 2022, at Orlando, Florida, United States of America. Apart from these, he has also attended other events as such:

  • The 44th World Small Animal Veterinary Association World Congress (WSAVA 2019) in Toronto, Canada.
  • The Animal Care Expo 2018 in Kansas City, United States of America.
