On June 10, JBF (Just Be Friendly), has achieved a significant milestone of 20 years without taking a day off since its inception. JBF serves as a prime example of animal welfare and treatment in North East India. Throughout this remarkable journey, JBF has established itself as a shining example of animal welfare and treatment in North East India, setting numerous firsts in the region.
Since its establishment in 2003, JBF has been at the forefront of animal welfare initiatives in Assam. It all began with the introduction of the mobile cattery clinic, which marked the first step in their mission to improve animal well-being. Over the years, JBF has undertaken a range of projects and programs, including Post-Flood Support, Awareness Campaigns, Birth-Control Surgeries (ABC-ARV), Disaster Management, and Award Giving Programs.
JBF proudly boasts of facilities at JIRAW in Sonapur, such as the state-of-the-art Operation Theater (OT), Rescued Dogs Kennel, Memorial Park, and Dogs Park. Looking to the future, JBF has several exciting projects in the pipeline, including the establishment of a Cattery, Gaushala (cow shelter), and a Swimming Pool for Dogs.
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of JBF’s exceptional journey, a meeting was organized at the JIRAW premises to express gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this event. The occasion was followed by refreshments and a tokens of appreciation.
